MEN'S GOLF STANDS SEVENTH AT THE A-SUN CHAMPIONSHIP

WAVERLY, GA. - - The Belmont men’s golf team remains in seventh place after two rounds of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship held Tuesday in Waverly, Georgia.

The Bruins shot a second round team score of 310 for a two round total of 630. They stand 45 shots behind tournament leader ETSU, who stands at 585. North Florida is second at 595, while Gardner-Webb is third at 608.

Belmont has two golfers among the top-25. Scott O’Brien was tied for 19th at 155 after posting a 75 on Tuesday. His teammate, Danny Amundson, is tied for 25th at 157 after shooting a 75 in round two. Other Belmont scores include: Gaylon Cude (T-35th, 160), Bryn Rocke (T-35th, 160), and Simon Marshall (44th, 164). The overall individual leader is Seamus Power of ETSU, who has a score of 140.

The third and final round is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning.
