WAVERLY, GA. - - The Belmont men’s golf team
finished in eighth place at this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference
Championships held at The Golf Club at Sanctuary Cove in Waverly, Georgia.
The Bruins shot a team score of 315 in Wednesday’s third round
to finish with a 54-hole total of 945. ETSU was crowned A-Sun Champion
as they finished with a three round score of 868. North Florida finished
second at 882, while Campbell was third at 897.
Belmont had two golfers finish among the top-30. Danny Amundson posted
a 27th place finish with a 54-hole score of 233 after carding a 75 in
round three. Scott O’Brien tied for 30th place after posting a 235
for the three days. Other Belmont scores included: Gaylon Cude (T-39th,
241), Simon Marshall (T-41st, 242), and Bryn Rocke (T-44th, 243).
The A-Sun Individual Champion was Seamus Power of ETSU, who finished with
a 210.
The Bruins will be back in action for their final event of the season
on April 28-29 at the Cavalier Classic in Charlottesville, Virginia.
