NASHVILLE,
TENN. - - Belmont University Men’s Golf Head Coach Brian Costello
announced Wednesday the signing of Daniel Smith to a national letter of
intent.
Smith, a native of Bournemouth, Dorset County, England, compiled an impressive
junior golf resume. Among his accomplishments, Smith won the 2005 Dorset

Boys’ Championships, and advanced to the third round of the 2006
British Boys’ Amateur Championship at Royal Aberdeen.
Playing out of Parkstone Golf Club, Smith also won the 2006 area Boys’
County Championship, ranked first in the Dorset Elite squad order of merit,
and has set multiple local course records.
"I am very excited about Dan joining us next season,” Costello

some solid international experience. Dan's game has really begun to blossom
over the past two seasons and has even more potential for growth. He will
be a big part of what we are trying to build here at Belmont."
