Nashville, Tenn. – The throwers on the Belmont men’s track and field team conducted an intra-squad meet on Saturday as they prepare for the A-Sun Championships in two weeks at ETSU.

The Belmont Red Team of Coach Josh McMillian and Cornelius Perry defeated the Blue Team 39-29 in four events that were conducted (Hammer, Discus, Shot Put, and Javelin).

The Red Team’s Cornelius Perry had a personal best in the hammer throw of 145-7, while the Blue Team’s Tyler Howell posted personal bests in the hammer (105-6), discus (105-6), shot put (42-2), and javelin (101-10). Howell’s teammate Joe Frye had personal bests in the discus (130-5), shot put (44-8), and javelin (132-6). In addition, red-shirt freshman Matt Clark had a personal best in the javelin (124-4).
