TENN. - - The Belmont men’s track and field team continued
its’ indoor season at the MTSU Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
on Saturday.
Senior Brandon Grass (Thompsons Station, Tenn.) won the Men Pole Vault
with a clearing height of 4.26m.
Jameson Elder finished tied for first in the Men High Jump with a final
clearing height of 1.93m. Sophomore Matt Fielder (LaGrange, Ill.) placed
tied for fourth with a height of 1.77m. Fielder also finished sixth in
the Men Triple Jump with a distance of 12.90m.
Senior Stephen Register (Franklin, Tenn.) finished eighth in the Men
400 Meter Dash with a finishing time of 51.65s.
Sophomore Clay Hannah (Lebanon, Tenn.) finished fourth in the Men 1 Mile
Run with a time of 4:2559, while Sophomore Daniel Jones (White Bluff,
Tenn.) placed sixth with a time of 4:29.19. Sophomore Kip Hill placed
11th in the race, running the race in 4:42.50.
Senior Collin Magut (Kitale, Kenya) placed third in the Men 800 Meter
Run with a time of 1:57.44. His teammate, Josh Thebeau finished fourth
with a time of 1:57.70.
Four Bruins placed consecutively in the Men 3000 Meter run, finishing
fourth to seventh. Sophomore Will Peters (Carmel, Ind.) ran a time of
8:50.41, senior Kevin Stone (Fairfield, Ohio) placed a time of 8:52.10,
junior Caleb Swartz (Radcliff, Ky.) ran a time of 8:53.56 and junior John
Brigham (Mobile, Ala.) finished with a marked time of 8:55.15.
Sophomore Joe Frye (Roscommon, Mich.) finished fourth in the Men Shot
Put with a distance of 13.63m. Pierce Greenberg placed seventh with a
distance of 12.97m. Junior Tyler Howell (Chattanooga, Tenn.) threw for
a distance of 12.91m, good enough to place in eighth place.
Frye also placed in third in the Men Weight Throw with a distance of
15.30m. Howell finished fourth with 14.42m and Greenberg sixth with 9.29m.
