NASHVILLE, TENN. - - The Belmont men’s track and field team participated in the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Middle Tennessee State, this past weekend.

Freshman Jameson Elder (Alpharetta, Ga.) won the High Jump with a distance of 1.87m. Teammate, sophomore Matt Fielder (Lagrange, Ill.) finished third with a jump of 1.77m.

In the Triple Jump, Fielder placed ninth with a distance of 12.94m. Sophomore Joe Frye (Roscommon, Mich.) finished sixth in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.71m. Freshman Pierce Greenberg (Raleigh, N.C.) placed 12th in the same competition, throwing for a distance of 11.76m.

Junior Tyler Howell (Chattanooga, Tenn.) participated in the Weight Throw and finished seventh with a distance of 12.57m.

The Bruins will conclude the indoor portion of their season at the Atlantic Sun Championships from Feb. 29-Mar. 1 at East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tenn.
