NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Head Coach Amy Tudor of the Belmont softball
team announced the signing of Kelley Cash to a National Letter of Intent
on Monday.
Cash, a native of Hudson, Ohio, will join the Bruin outfield after she
completes her senior season at Hudson High. She has won numerous honors
including All-League Second-Team as a freshman, and All-League First-Team
as a sophomore and junior. Cash, who is a four-year letterwinner, played
on the Northeast Region team of the All-Ohio Underclassmen Tournament
for three consecutive years and was an All-County Second-Team honoree
as a junior.
Cash, a three-time Scholar Athlete, also earned Distinguished Student
honors last year.
“Kelley will be a strong asset to our program. She is a natural
lefty who is versatile at the plate,” said Coach Tudor. “She
will add depth to the outfield and can play infield if needed.”
Belmont opens the 2007 softball season at the Jacksonville State Classic
the weekend of February 17th.
