Ala. – The Belmont women’s golf team finished in
fourth place at this week’s USA Lady Jaguar Invitational held Monday
and Tuesday in Mobile, Alabama.
The Bruins posted a second round team score of 318 to finish with a 36-hole
score of 629. They were 29 shots behind tournament champion ETSU, 12 shots
behind second place Southern Miss, and 10 shots behind third place McNeese
State.
Belmont had two golfers among the top-15. Junior Lauren Oeser led the
way with a tie for fourth place with a two round score of 151 (75-76).
This finish marked a career-best for the Old Hickory, Tennessee native
and was her second top-10 of the season. Fellow junior Lorie Warren tied
for 12th place with a score of 154. Other Belmont scores included: Ashleigh
Garman (T-47th, 162), Lauren Spurlock (T-71st, 167), and Rebekah Wilson
(T-75th, 168).
Belmont will back in action March 17-18 at the Samford Intercollegiate.
