Macon,
Ga. -- Belmont junior Lauren Williams has been named Atlantic
Sun Conference Co-Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference
office on Wednesday morning. She shares the honor with ETSU’s Anna
Marie Ricciardi.
Williams, a junior from Nashville (David Lipscomb HS), bested a field

seven seconds. The time is also fastest at that distance in the A-Sun
this indoor season.
This also marks the first time Williams has been honored with the conference’s
weekly track and field award.
The Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week is announced every Wednesday during
the 2007 indoor track season.
The 12-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont,
Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb,
Mercer, UNF and Stetson with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate beginning
competition in 2007-08.
