BELMONT SPRINTERS COMPETE AT THE PRESTIGIOUS DRAKE RELAYS

at A-Sun Championships

Nashville, Tenn. – This weekend, the Belmont female sprinters participated in the Drake Relays in Iowa.

Belmont competed in three relays at the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday and Saturday. The Bruins finished among the top-16 in all three relays, with their best finish coming in the 4x200 as they finished fourth out of 14 teams with a time of 1:37.76. Competing on that relay team was Jessica Giles, Khalia Turner, Lizz Pollock, and Lynette Rives. BU also placed 14th in the 4x100 with a time of 47.19 and 16th in the 4x400 in a school record time of 3:44.42, which broke the record they set last week at the Vanderbilt Invitational.

The Belmont women are now off until May 11-12 when they compete at the A-Sun Championships, hosted by ETSU, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
