Men's Soccer Coaching StaffEarle Davidson, Head CoachBen Fisher, Assistant Coach
Former Belmont standout Ben Fisher is entering his second season as a full-time assistant coach with the Bruins. Fisher, a native of Osceola, Ind., joined the staff after playing in the A-League, one step below Major League Soccer, from 1999-2002. The defender played three seasons 1999-2001 for the Nashville A-League organization becoming the franchise leader in minutes played and suited up for the Cincinnati Riverhawks in 2002. He was actively involved in the Riverhawks’ community relations efforts, making various public appearances as well as participating in youth camps. “It is terrific to have Ben back associated with the team,” stated head coach Earle Davidson. “He played at Belmont and followed that by playing a high level of soccer for three years. Ben has a good head for the game and is enthusiastic about our style of play and the direction that our program is headed.” This is his first permanent position as a Division I assistant coach, but Fisher did spend four seasons volunteering with the Bruins during the off-season while playing professionally in Nashville. He also gained coaching experience in 2001 when he led the U-18 Tennessee Football Club and the U-15 Music City Sting. Fisher is currently coaching the HFC Hurricanes as well. While at Belmont, Fisher established the school record for matches started at 64 and was named first team All-TCAC as a freshman. Anchoring the defense for all four seasons, Fisher helped the Bruins make the transition from NAIA to NCAA during his career. He also served as team captain and was named Belmont's Most Valuable Player during his junior and senior years. Ben graduated from Belmont University in May of 2000 with a degree in Spanish and Secondary Education. Fisher resides in Nashville.
