Amy
Tudor enters her second season as Head Coach of Belmont's softball program
in 2007.
Tudor
joins the Bruins after a two-year stint at Ohio Wesleyan where she guided
the Battling Bishops to their second straight North Coast Athletic Conference
title in 2005. Her OWU team finished with a 22-14 record and went on
the host the conference tournament.
Prior
to OWU, Tudor served as a graduate assistant at the University of North
Alabama for two years.
A
2002 graduate of Western Kentucky, she served as captain of the team
for three years. As a catcher, Tudor set a school record in 2002 by
throwing out 23 runners attempting to steal. Her 216 putouts that year
still ranks eighth on the WKU season record list. Over her career as
a Hilltopper, she threw out 28 runners, second-best all-time with the
program, and she still ranks third with a career .967 fielding percentage.
A
native of Petersburg, Tenn., Tudor lettered in both softball and basketball
at Cornersville High. She earned All-District honors three times and
was an All-Region and All-State selection. Tudor had her No. 9 jersey
retired at Cornersville in 1998. |
