Sean Sawyer begins his seventh year with the Belmont Athletics marketing department as Assistant Director for Sales and Sponsorships.

Sawyer's job responsibilities include working to develop and cultivate relationships with existing and potential corporate partners, managing the athletic licensing program, and overseeing the design of athletic marketing materials.

Known for his creativity and fresh ideas, Sawyer helped implement two student promotions that won North American National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Gold Awards for the Best Student Promotion in back-to-back years, most recently in June of 2009.

Before joining the Belmont Athletics staff full-time, Sawyer served as a graduate assistant with the marketing department while working towards his master's degree in sport administration from Belmont.

Prior to arriving in Nashville, Sawyer graduated with a degree in history from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Ala. where he lettered in baseball for the Falcons at shortstop and pitcher.

Sawyer and his wife, Christie, have three children, Colin, Patrick, and Anna Claire. The family resides in Bellevue.
