Belmont SAAC Announces Battle of the Bruins Talent Show
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) proudly presents the First Annual Battle of the Bruins Talent Show scheduled for Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. The Belmont student-athletes will pair up with Special Olympic athletes to perform skits and musical acts to benefit Special Olympics Nashville.
Tickets to the event are $5 and can be at the Curb Event Center Box Office (Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.), or online by Clicking Here. All other donations can be dropped off to Senior Women’s Administrator Betty Wiseman in the Belmont Athletics Department. Students will receive convocation credit in personal growth with their attendance.
Each Belmont varsity athletics team will have an individual or group perform. Along with the student-athletes, there will also be four to six Special Olympic athlete skits. Belmont SAAC will also be having a silent auction on the Curb Event Center concourse promoting the event during basketball games from January 26 to February 6.
Judges for the event will include American Idol alum Melinda Doolittle, former Miss Tennessee Allison DeMarcus, Special Olympics star Josh Putnam, and three members of Diamond Rio; Gene Johnson, Dan Truman, and Jimmy Olander.
