NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will host its first annual Pilgrim Party to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission next Thursday, November 21 at 7:00pm in the Maddox Grand Atrium on the Belmont campus.
The event, marketed to the Belmont student body and held in conjunction with the school’s Student Activities Program Board, will include a DJ, snacks, and refreshments. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in Thanksgiving related costumes (pilgrims, Native Americans, turkeys, pumpkins, etc.).
In addition, attendees are asked to bring a canned food item or provide a cash donation. All of the canned goods and monies will be donated to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
“Our goal with this event is to build a strong connection between the student-athletes and the rest of the student body as well as to raise awareness about the great work being done in this community by the Nashville Rescue Mission,” said Travis Case, a Belmont track and field athlete and member of SAAC.
