Men's Basketball Releases 2010-11 TV & Radio Schedule
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball released its 2010-11 regular season television and radio game coverage schedule Tuesday.
The Bruins will have up to nine regular season games televised live this season, a new program-record. Also for the first time ever, Belmont will have its first two games of the season carried nationally, with its Nov. 9 exhibition game against Northern State and its Nov. 16 regular season opener at Tennessee both broadcast live on ESPNU.
Following the conclusion of the NIT Season Tip-Off, Belmont's Dec. 4 contest at Nashville neighbor, Vanderbilt, will be a 1pm CT tip on CSS. Less than three weeks later, the Bruins return to Knoxville to take on the Volunteers, this time with a 6:30pm CT tip on SportSouth.
On Jan. 13, Belmont hosts Lipscomb for a 7:30pm CT tip in an exclusive broadcast on ESPN3.com. ESPN3.com (formerly ESPN360) is ESPN's online broadband channel featuring thousands of live and on-demand sporting events.
The Bruins head down Belmont Boulevard 12 days later, facing Lipscomb at Allen Arena on CSS. Belmont will also host Florida Gulf Coast Jan. 28 on CSS as part of the Atlantic Sun Conference's 'Game of the Week' TV package.
Belmont Athletics is also proud to announce the extension of its partnership with Citadel Broadcasting and 104.5 The Zone for live radio broadcasts.
The Bruins, the only sports entity in Nashville to have live game coverage on 104.5 The Zone since the station's shift to sports programming in 2002, will have a total of 10 regular season games on the sports radio leader.
104.5 The Zone Wake Up Zone host Kevin Ingram will continue his longstanding role as Voice of the Bruins.
