Rick Byrd to Guest on Nationally-Televised Show
UPDATE: In the middle Tennessee area, the 'State Farm Coaches Tournament Show' featuring Coach Byrd will air Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 5pm CT on FS Tennessee - Ch. 28 and HD Ch. 295 for most Comcast cable subscribers.
CHICAGO, Ill. - - Belmont University men's basketball head coach Rick Byrd will be a featured guest contributor on the final of three installments of the 'State Farm Coaches Tournament Show' first airing Tuesday, Mar. 29 on FSN.
Produced by Intersport, an industry leader in sports and entertainment programming, the 'State Farm Coaches Tournament Show' will break down the 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship and the Final Four matchups.
Byrd will be joined by veteran broadcaster and show host Ron Thulin, former Oregon head coach and co-host Ernie Kent, and Illinois head coach Bruce Weber.
The special program will premiere in Fox Sports Net markets throughout the country on Tuesday, Mar. 29, and will be reaired throughout the month. Check local listings for show times and channel listings in your market.
Byrd, one of 12 active head coaches in NCAA Division I men's basketball with 600 or more career victories, was named 2011 Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year and 2011 NABC District 3 Coach of the Year. This season, Byrd led the Bruins to their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last six years.
