Men's Basketball Plays at Lipscomb Friday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont men's basketball returns to action Friday at Lipscomb.
Belmont used balanced scoring and stingy defense late to defeat North Florida, 83-69, Jan. 30. The Bruins shot 52 percent from the field and limited the Ospreys to one made field goal the final 4:50.
Sophomore Blake Jenkins (Knoxville, Tenn.) continued his fine play with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Since Belmont and Lipscomb began playing as members of Atlantic Sun Conference in the 2003-04 season, 12 of the 18 games have been decided by single figures or in overtime.
Belmont and Lipscomb have a combined 15 roster members from the state of Tennessee.
This marks the 130th meeting between Belmont and Lipscomb. Belmont junior Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) scored a season-high 28 points vs. Lipscomb Jan. 6.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast live on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and ESPN3.
