Men's Basketball Games in Great Alaska Shootout on CBS Sports Network
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball will have games in the 2012 Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network, the University of Alaska Anchorage announced Tuesday.
CBS Sports Network has agreed to carry seven games during the tournament Nov. 21-24, beginning with the Bruins' first-round game against host UAA Wednesday, Nov. 21.
The semifinals and championship game will also be carried live.
After an off day to observe the Thanksgiving holiday, Belmont will face Northeastern or UC Riverside Friday, Nov. 23.
Charlotte, Loyola Marymount, Oral Roberts, and Texas State round out the 2012 field.
Belmont, which went 27-8 this past season en route to a fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last seven years, was featured on eight national broadcasts in 2011-12.
The Great Alaska Shootout is the longest-running regular season college basketball tournament in the nation, taking place every November since 1978.
