NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to action Thursday against Morehead State.
The Bruins defeated Eastern Kentucky, 85-74, Jan. 26. Senior Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) led four Bruins in double figures with 21 points en route to OVC and TSWA Player of the Week honors.
The Bruins have received steady production and leadership from senior Trevor Noack. The Keller, Texas native has scored in double figures 14 times this season, including a career-high 30 points at SEMO Jan. 10.
Belmont has floored the same starting five in each of its first 21 games. Morehead State has had all but two roster members start at least one game this year.
Belmont and Morehead State are two of the top teams in the nation in forcing turnovers. The Bruins are 17th in steal percentage and the Eagles are 29th (Ken Pomeroy).
This marks the second meeting between Belmont and Morehead State. The Bruins won 64-63 Jan. 24 in Morehead; junior J.J. Mann (Smyrna, Ga.) made a three-pointer with 1:13 left that proved to be the game-winning shot.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT from the Curb Event Center.
