Clark, Mann Heading to Atlanta for Final Four Weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball student-athletes Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) and J.J. Mann (Smyrna, Ga.) will represent the program at this weekend's Final Four.

Clark will take part in Thursday night's State Farm® College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at McCamish Pavilion on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Clark will compete against seven other top men's college basketball seniors in the men's 3-point championship, with the festivities carried live on ESPN and the Watch ESPN app starting at 6 p.m. CT.

Meanwhile, Mann will be honored at a number of events all weekend long as part of the inaugural Allstate NABC Good Works Team®. The honor includes an on-court recognition during the second half of the National Semifinal between Michigan and Syracuse.

The award recognizes a unique group of men's and women's college basketball student-athletes who have made outstanding contributions in the areas of volunteerism and civic involvement including building homes for the elderly, leading basketball clinics, reading to students and working with children with hearing disabilities.

Mann serves as a regular volunteer for the Best Buddies Program, a tutor and activities leader at area schools, a server at the Nashville Rescue Mission, and member of Belmont's 2011 Sports Evangelism Mission Trip to Naples, Italy.

On campus, Mann holds a number of leadership positions, including men's basketball representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), executive vice president of Belmont Ambassadors, team leader of Belmont's division of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and member of Enactus – a non-profit organization committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.
