OAKLAND, Calif. - - Former Belmont University men's basketball All-American Ian Clark ('13) scored a playoff career-high 12 points in 12 minutes Sunday as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 121-109, in Game 1 of their Western Conference Playoff first round series.

With the score tied at 88 through three quarters, Clark scored seven points during a decisive 15-2 run to open the fourth quarter. In arguably the play of the game, Andre Iguodala found Clark for a baseline 3-pointer that gave Golden State a 97-90 lead with 8:58 left, and sent the Warrior home crowd into a frenzy.

Clark went 4-for-5 from the field, while adding two rebounds and one steal.

Clark, who scored 1,920 points and buried 340 3-pointers in his standout Belmont career, eclipsed his previous playoff career-high of 11 points last season vs. Houston.

Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19 at 10:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
