A Former Bruin and a Future Bruin Earn Top-25 Finishes at the Tennessee State Amateur
GALLATIN, Tenn. – A former Bruin and a future Bruin both finished among the top-25 at last week's Tennessee State Amateur Championship held at The Foxland Course at The Club at Fairvue Plantation in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Charlie Keene, a four-year letterwinner for Belmont who graduated in 2001, finished tied for 18th place. He carded scores of 72, 76, 70, and 70 to finish with a 72-hole total of 288 (4-over).
Incoming freshman Logan Hance tied for 24th place after shooting a four-round score of 290 (6-over). He posted rounds of 73, 70, 75, and 72. Hance, a native of White Pine, Tennessee, will begin his career as a Bruin next month.
The tournament's winner was Jonathan Fly of Memphis, who posted a score of 270 (14-under) for 72 holes.
