Men's Golf Ties for 12th at the UC Bearcat Invitational
HEBRON, Ky. – The Belmont men's golf finished in a tie for 12th place at the UC Bearcat Invitational held this week at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Kentucky.
Belmont carded rounds of 307 and 295 in the final two rounds to finished tied with Dayton for 12th place with a score of 898. The tournament champion was Oakland, who finished at 871.
The Bruins were led once again by senior Dan Smith. The Bournemouth, England native shot identical rounds of 72 in his last 36-holes to finish tied for eighth with a score of 218. It was second straight top-10 finish. Other Belmont scores included: Logan Hance (T-37th, 225), Ben Simpson (T-60th, 231), Elliott Wickenden (T-64th, 232), and Max Markley (T-76th, 236).
The men's golf team returns to action next Monday and Tuesday, October 18-19, at the APSU Intercollegiate in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
