Men's Golf Stands 12th after Day One of the Frito Lay/AT&T Intercollegiate

PHILADELPHIA, Miss. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in 12th place after Sunday's first round of the Frito Lay/AT&T Intercollegiate hosted by Jackson State at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

The Bruins shot an opening round team score of 328 to put them in 12th place.  They are 33 shots behind tournament leader Mercer.

Belmont has two golfers among the top-50.  Freshman David Novinger is tied for 28th place after posting a 78 on day one.  Fellow freshman Logan Hance is tied for 49th after carding an 82 in the first round.  Other Belmont scores include: Max Markley (T-56th, 83), Dan Smith (T-62nd, 85), and Elliott Wickenden (T-65th, 86).

The second and final round begins Monday morning at 8:30am.
