Men's Golf Finishes 14th at the Mason Rudolph Championship
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 14th place at this weekend's Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee.
The Bruins shot a team score of 294 on Sunday to finish in 14th place with a 54-hole score of 897. MTSU won the tournament with a score of 844.
Sophomore Ben Simpson led Belmont as he finished in a tie for 34th place with a score of 219. He carded a one-under par 70 in the final round. Freshman Ted Moon, who shot an even par 71 on Sunday, tied for 55th place with a score of 225. Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: freshman Carson Ward (T-64th, 227), junior Elliott Wickenden (T-68th, 228), and freshman Adam Sanders (77th, 239). Freshman Chris Thurman, competing as an individual, finished in 78th place at 244.
The men's golf team is back in action on October 3-4 at the Murray State Invitational in Murray, Kentucky.
