Men's Golf Places 10th at the Mizzou Intercollegiate; Moon Finishes Fourth
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 10th place at the Mizzou Intercollegiate held this week at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri.
Belmont shot a team score of 302 in Tuesday's final round to finish in 10th place with a 54-hole score of 916. Host Missouri was the tournament champion as they finished the event with a score of 856.
The Bruins were paced by freshman Ted Moon. The Lilburn, Georgia native had his best finish as a collegian as he placed fourth with a score of 212. He carded a two-under 70 in Tuesday's round, his second sub-par round of the event.
Junior Elliott Wickenden tied for 48th place after posting a three-round score of 231. Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: freshman Carson Ward (T-69th, 237), sophomore Ben Simpson (71st, 238), and freshman Chris Thurman (T-74th, 241).
The men's golf team will be back in action next Monday-Wednesday, April 16-18, at the Atlantic Sun Championship in Braselton, Georgia.
