Men's Golf Wraps Up Play at the Atlantic Sun Championship
BRASELTON, Ga. -- The Belmont men's golf team finished in 10th place at the A-Sun Championship held this week at The Legends Course at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia.
The Bruins shot a team score of 318 in Wednesday's final round to finish in 10th place with a 54-hole score of 933. North Florida won the conference title with a score of 875.
Three Bruins finished among the top-35. Freshman Ted Moon shot a 78 in the final round to finish in a tie for 25th place at 230. Sophomore Ben Simpson tied for 31st place with a mark of 232, while junior Elliott Wickenden finished in a tie for 34th at 234. In addition, freshman Chris Thurman tied for 40th place 238, while fellow freshman Carson Ward tied for 43rd place at 240.
This tournament ends the season for the men's golf team. In 11 events, they posted four top-eight finishes, with a season-best third place finish at the Murray State Invitational last fall.
