Men's Soccer To Take On Houston Baptist In Season Finale
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's soccer team will be finishing out the 2010 campaign with a non-conference game at Houston Baptist on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. After falling to Mercer on Saturday, and Jacksonville tying Stetson on Sunday, BU failed to qualify for the Atlantic Sun Tournament for the second straight season.
Houston Baptist comes into tonight's contest with an overall record of 5-7-1 and a conference mark of 2-0-0. The Huskies have won their last three matches, topping oral Roberts, Howard and Longwood at home. HBU holds a 4-1-0 record in Houston. The Huskies are led by Kristopher Tyrpak with five goals and three assists for 13 points on the season. Chris Dodd has started every game in goal, totaling 50 saves while allowing 19 goals.
