Men's Soccer Falls at Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - - Belmont men's soccer (0-1-1) dropped a 2-1 decision at Evansville (2-0) Sunday afternoon.

The Aces opened up the first half aggressively, unloading eight shots, 3 of which on goal.  Dylan Terry of Evansville scored in the 14th minute of play to give the Aces a 1-0 lead; he was shortly followed by a second goal by Evansville's Jesse Sharp in the 38th minute of play to give the Aces a 2-0 lead into the half.

Belmont responded sharply in the second half with a quick goal by Raphael Colmanette (Sao Paulo, Brazil) assisted by Nico Olsak (Boca Raton, Florida) setting the score 2-1.

The game would end in a 2-1 final as Belmont could not find the equalizer.  Raphael Colmanette (Sao Paulo, Brazil) lead the Bruin offensive with 3 shots, all of which on goal, and one goal.  Lou Manning (Southlake, Texas) had a game high 4 saves.

The Bruins take on the University of Louisville in their next match, September 1st at 6 p.m.
