Rodrigo Amaral Earns All-Atlantic Sun Second Team Honors
MACON, Ga. – Belmont junior tennis player Rodrigo Amaral has earned All-Atlantic Sun Second Team honors as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
Amaral, playing number one singles for the Bruins, posted a 12-10 overall record, including a 7-3 mark in conference play. He led the team for third straight year in singles victories and his seven conference wins ranked him second among all number one players in the Atlantic Sun.
Rodrigo is the fifth Belmont men's player to earn second team All-Conference honors and the first since Fausto Rocha and Javier Rodriguez in 2005-06. It also marks the eighth time in ten years that the men's tennis program has had at least one All-Conference or All-Freshman honoree.
