Men's Tennis Falls at Florida Atlantic 5-2

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Belmont men's tennis team fell to Florida Atlantic 5-2 in a non-conference held Saturday in Boca Raton, Florida.

The Owls won the first point of the match as they won two of three doubles matches.  Belmont did win at number one as Renato Antun and Rodrigo Amaral defeated Taylor Albrecht and Sean Bacha 8-6.

In singles, FAU won four of the six matches to clinch the 5-2 win.  The Bruins did win at two positions.  Fernando Mussolini won at number four over Boris Bogomolov in three sets, while at number six, Bruno Silva beat Sean Bacha 5-7, 7-6, 10-6.

Belmont (1-6) is back in action tomorrow as they play at Rollins College at 9:00am CT.
