Men's Tennis Falls to FGCU 4-3 in Season Finale
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Belmont men's tennis team lost to FGCU 4-3 in an Atlantic Sun Conference match held Saturday in Nashville.
The Bruins won the first point of the match as they caprured two of the three doubles matches. At number one, Renato Antun and Rafael Matos beat Matthew Rock and Lance Lvorsky 8-6. At number two, Henrique Norbiato and Rodrigo Amaral defeated Jackson Moore and Dean Tsamas 8-1.
In singles, the Eagles stormed back, winning four of the six matches to clinch the match victory 4-3. Belmont's two wins came at numbers two and five. At number two, Henrique Norbiato beat Jackson Moore 6-3, 6-4, while at number five, Rafael Matos defeated Lance Lvorsky 6-2, 7-6.
This match ends the season for the men's tennis team. They finished with an overall record of 7-14, 4-5 in the A-Sun.
