Frye Takes Second Among Collegiate Throwers at Cardinal Twilight
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Belmont men's track and field senior thrower Joe Frye (Roscommon, Mich.) wrapped regular season action at the Cardinal Twilight hosted by the University of Louisville on Friday morning. The Bruins' current hammer throw record holder finished in the top-three at the one-day meet.
In a field of nearly 30 competitors, Frye's hurl of 59.68m (195' 9") was good enough for a second-place finish among all collegiate throwers and a third-place finish overall.

The Roscommon, Mich., native owns the best mark in the Atlantic Sun in the event after hitting 61.45m late last month at the Vanderbilt Invitational. The toss also bested the Belmont record he previously set last year and also qualified him for the NCAA East Regionals.
Frye returns to action on May 28 at the NCAA East Regionals in Bloomington, Ind.
