Men's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Belmont men's cross country team was honored as one of 147 teams to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Status, as announced on Wednesday. The Bruins recorded a team GPA of 3.21 to garner the accolades.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
Belmont was one of four Atlantic Sun Conference teams to receive the honors, joined by Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, and Mercer.
Chattanooga reported the nation's highest cumulative team GPA with a mark of 3.81, while Wisconsin received the USTFCCCA Scholar-Team of the Year award for placing the highest at nationals and earning All-Academic status.
