Women's Golf Remains in Eighth at the A-Sun Championships
New Smyrna Beach, Fla. - The Belmont women's golf remains in eighth place after two rounds of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship held Tuesday at the Venetian Bay Golf Club in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Belmont posted a team score of 320 on Tuesday to finish with a 36-hole score of 638 to keep them in eighth place. The tournament leader is ETSU, who stands at 586 after two days of competition.
The Bruins are led by freshman Megan Murphy, who is tied for 25th place after 36-holes. She carded a 78 in Tuesday's round to finish with a score of 153. Sophomore Kelly Maguigan shot an 78 to finish in a tie for 39th at 160. Other Belmont scores included: Shay Sullivan(41st, 161), Jennifer Newman (42nd, 165), and Patricia Masick (46th, 170).
