Maguigan Named Atlantic Sun Women's Golfer of the Week
MACON, Ga. – Senior Kelly Maguigan was named Atlantic Sun Women's Golfer of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Maguigan, a Franklin, Tennessee native, finished in 12th place at the Drake Creek Invitational after carding a 54-hole score of 229. She posted rounds of 76, 77, and 76 in the event to post her fifth top-20 finish of her career. She also helped her team finish in fourth place with a team score of 935.
A three-time Academic All-Conference performer, Maguigan is currently a student in Belmont's School of Pharmacy. This was her first Golfer of the Week award and the first for Belmont since October 2008 when Lorie Warren won the award.
The women's golf team is back in action next Monday and Tuesday, September 19-20, at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate in Waynesville, North Carolina.
