Women's Golf Tied for Seventh after Round Two of the A-Sun Championship

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – The Belmont women's golf team moved up a spot to a tie for seventh after the second round of the Atlantic Sun Championship held Tuesday at Venetian Bay Golf Club in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

The Bruins shot a team score of 310 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 620.  This ties them with Lipscomb for seventh place.   Kennesaw State is the overall leader with a 36-hole total of 576.  ETSU is in second place at 582, while Mercer is third at 587.

Belmont continues to be led by freshman Evin Edens.  The Nashville native is tied for 19th place at 153 after carding a 77 on Tuesday.  Junior Janet Steen and freshman Sydney Hudson are tied for 32nd at 156.  Each shot a 78 in round two.  Senior Kelly Maguigan is tied for 35th at 160, while fellow senior Jennifer Newman is tied for 40th at 165.
