Berner Tabbed CollegeSportsMadness.com’s OVC Player of the Week
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On the heels of helping Belmont to its first win as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, junior goalkeeper Nicole Berner (Randolph, N.J.) of the Belmont women's soccer team (1-0) was named CollegeSportsMadness.com's OVC Player of the Week for her strong play over the weekend. It is the first time in her career she has received the honor from the website.
The Randolph, N.J., native went the distance between the posts on the road in BU's win at Toledo over the weekend. She collected five saves and allowed one goal in the effort. Berner is currently ranked third among all OVC netminders in GAA (1.00) and fourth in save percentage (.833).
