Ashley Taylor was promoted to the position of assistant coach for Belmont Softball in June 2011, after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant coach. Her main responsibilities are as a hitting coach and working with the infield for the Bruins.

“[Ashley Taylor] was a great pick up that is going to pay major dividends for us. She relates well to our student-athletes. She is a very knowledgeable hitting coach, she knows the game well, and she will have a great career in coaching if that is what she decides to do,” stated Coach Kuhlmeyer about Ashley.

Taylor came to Belmont after a very successful career at Austin Peay where she was a three year starter for the Lady Governors. Taylor made her mark on the Austin Peay record books in her three years there as she set the all-time school record for at bats (184), tied the all-time record for starts in a season (58), set the all-time freshmen records for runs scored (35) and homeruns (10).

Taylor was able to graduate from Austin Peay in three years while playing softball and maintaining a 3.5 GPA.

She earned her master's degree in sports administration at Belmont in May 2011.
