Women's Tennis Beats Western Kentucky 6-1 in Season Finale
Nashville, Tenn. – In their season finale, the Belmont women's tennis team beat Western Kentucky 6-1 in a non-conference match held Friday at the Davis Complex on the Belmont campus. It marked the second straight win for the Bruins.
The match started off well for the Bruins as they swept all three doubles matches to win the first point of the match. Their fine play continued in singles as they captured five of the six matches, all in straight sets, to clinch the match victory over the Hilltoppers 6-1.
Friday's victory gave Belmont a 12-6 lead in the all-time series.
This match ends the season for the Belmont women's tennis team. They finished the year with an overall record of 5-11, 1-9 in the Atlantic Sun.
