Belmont Sweeps Connecticut in Straight Sets

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.--The Bruins took a 3-0 win over the Huskies in the first match of the Active Ankle Challenge. Belmont won the first set, 25-22, took set two 25-18, and then won an extended set three, 27-25.

Belmont had strong performances from junior Maggie Johnson, who led the team with 11 kills and also added nine digs, and from senior Kayla Albritton who recorded 10 kills and four aces.

The Bruins take on Duquesne in the second match of the Active Ankle Challenge with first serve set for 4 p.m.
