Women's Cross Country To Compete at Charlotte Friday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Belmont women's cross country team is set to compete in its first meet of the year away from Nashville's Percy Warner Park. The Bruins will travel to race in the Charlotte Invitational on Friday.
The women's five kilometer race will begin at 3:00 p.m. CT at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, N.C. The fourth annual meet will welcome 43 women's teams split into two divisions. Virginia Tech, ranked fifth in the Region, leads the group of favorites on Friday.
Belmont, which has performed well in its first two races of the season, will be led by senior Caitlin Standifer (Plano, Texas), who finished first for the Bruins in each of the first two meets of the year.
