NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University student-athletes had another successful semester in the classroom as 2018 fall semester grades were finalized late last month.
For the 2018 fall semester, the departmental grade point average (GPA) was 3.342, which marks the 42nd consecutive semester that Belmont student-athletes have earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
"Once again it is so impressive to see our student-athlete excel in the classroom," said Scott Corley, Belmont's Director of Athletics. "That success is a credit to our student-athletes, coaches, and academic support staff who continue to maintain our department's commitment to academic excellence."
Highlights from the fall semester included:
- 31 student-athletes earned a GPA of 4.00.
- 48.82% earned Dean's List honors (3.5 of higher).
- 75.59% earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- All teams had a GPA of 3.0 or higher
The top-five team GPAs from the fall semester were as follows:
Volleyball – 3.692
Men's Tennis – 3.563
Women's Tennis – 3.560
Women's Soccer – 3.549
Women's Cross Country – 3.527
