Belmont University Director of Athletics Scott Corley announced Wednesday, June 5 the hire of Matt Frederick to the position of head strength & conditioning coach.
Frederick brings a wealth of experience to Belmont, most recently serving as the director of athletic performance at Gardner-Webb University where he oversaw 22 sports and 450 student-athletes.
"We are thrilled to welcome Matt Frederick to Belmont, and are confident his overall philosophy of physical, mental and spiritual wellness will be embraced by our student-athletes and coaches," Corley said. "I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join the Belmont Athletics' family," Frederick said. "I am excited about the pursuit of excellence that this department is eagerly striving for. Everyone I have met has been enthusiastic and on a similar mission, which is to represent Belmont in the highest manner possible, and I am looking forward to coming alongside our coaches and administrators to make Belmont an exceptional opportunity and experience for our student-athletes. Go Bruins!"
