Curtis Jefferson became the newest member of Belmont’s Sports Medicine team in September of 2017 when he joined the staff as an assistant athletic trainer.
A 2015 graduate of Miami University with a B.S. in Athletic Training, Jefferson spent the past two years completing his M.A. in Higher Education Administration at Southeast Missouri State University while serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Redhawks. As a trainer, he worked with the sports of football, tennis, cheerleading, and provided primary medical coverage for SEMO’s softball team. Additionally, Jefferson served an instructor of a Therapeutic Modalities Lab for the Athletic Training program, as well as a clinical preceptor for undergraduate students enrolled in the program.
As an assistant athletic trainer at Belmont University, Jefferson works directly with the Bruins’ Baseball and Golf teams.
In his spare time, the Harrison, Ohio native enjoys fishing, traveling, hunting, and camping. He currently resides in Columbia, Tennessee.
