Kaylah Keys enters her first season as a Graduate Assistant for Belmont Women’s Basketball

Keys will be responsible for team operations, including the areas of team travel, video coordination and scouting, and assist with on-campus recruiting activities.

"I'm so excited to have Kaylah join our staff at Belmont," said Brooks.  "I've been so impressed with Kaylah's commitment to impacting the lives of the young women she coaches, and she will immediately add great value to our program.  She was an accomplished player at High Point where she is still the leading scorer in the program's D1 history, while still maintaining life-balance as an involved student and member of her campus community.  Kaylah embodies everything that is good about college athletics, and we are blessed that Kaylah will be representing our program and Belmont University in her role as Graduate Assistant."

Keys, a native of Memphis, comes to Belmont after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at her high school alma mater, Harding Academy.  Before her stint at Harding, she was a four-year letterwinner at High Point University.  While at HPU, she became the program's Division I scoring leader with 1,869 points, earned All-Big South honors three times, and was the Big South Freshman of the Year.  She graduated from High Point in 2017 with a degree in Human Relations and a minor in Spanish.

In addition, Kaylah also played on Brentwood-based Pure Sweat Elite Club team with three former BU women's basketball players: Sally McCabe, Meredith Roman, and Lauren Thompson.  The team was trained and coached by Belmont basketball alumnus and Pure Sweat Basketball founder/owner Drew Hanlen.

Keys will be pursuing a master's degree in sports administration while at Belmont and plans a college coaching career in the future.
