Michael Weiss begins his second year as a graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach.

A 2015 graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotions, Weiss brings a solid resume through a variety of experiences at the college and professional levels. His background includes internships with Eastern Michigan University, Florida Atlantic University, and Cressey Sports Performance, a training facility in Jupiter, Florida where he gained experience working with both collegiate and professional baseball athletes.

Weiss also worked as an assistant strength & conditioning coach for the University of North Florida.  With the Ospreys, he oversaw the strength & conditioning programs for the sports of baseball, golf and cheerleading.  Most recently, Weiss was an athletic performance assistant at the Florida Panthers’ Performance Center of Excellence, training professional figure skaters and professional and youth ice hockey athletes.

As a graduate assistant coach for Belmont, Weiss works directly with the sports of baseball, women’s soccer, and cheerleading to develop and deliver all strength, speed, and conditioning programs for the teams.

The Deerfield Beach, Florida native holds NSCA-CSCS and USAW-L1 certifications. He is enrolled in Belmont’s master of sport administration program.
