Blake Harvey Signs National Letter of Intent

NASHVILLE, TENN. - - Belmont University baseball head coach Dave Jarvis announced Wednesday the signing of Blake Harvey to a national letter of intent.

Harvey, a right-handed pitcher from Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., was named to the 2009 All-District 7-AAA and was a two-year member of the Region III & IV Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) showcase team.

After a standout junior year, Harvey's senior campaign was cut short due to injury.

"Blake is a great fit here at Belmont," Jarvis said. "He is a high character young man with a great work ethic and dedication to academics. We believe that Blake's best baseball is definitely ahead of him and we feel he is going to be a tremendous addition to our team and pitching staff."

Harvey joins James Buckelew, Greg Brody, William Dodd, Daley Hill, Spencer Petett, Collier Roberts and junior college transfer Zac Mitchell in this year's incoming class.
