NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As the summer draws to an end, many of Belmont baseball's current players spent their offseason training in several leagues around the country. 14 players spanning across seven leagues represented Belmont on the diamond this summer.
Several athletes spent time playing in the Coastal Plains League. Logan Jarvis and Kyle Klotz played for the Fayetteville Swampdogs and Devon Gardner and Casey Queener spent time with the Edenton Steamers. Both Gardner and Queener excelled this summer with Gardner being nominated for the Coastal Plains League All-Star team after scoring 12 runs on 22 hits in just 24 games. Queener spend the start of the summer with the Steamers before playing for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League for the remainder of the summer.
Several Rising sophomores spent time playing with summer with Logan Bowen and Stone Selby threw for the Paducah Chiefs in the Ohio Valley League this summer while Jackson Campbell and Chandler Schultz spent their summer with the Gaithersburg Giants of the Cal Ripken League.
Four more Bruins spend time on the diamond this summer with Michael Matter and John Behrends playing for the Hamptons Collegiate League while Andrew Guerci spend his summer with the North Jersey Eagles of the Athlantic Collegiate League. Brandon Liskey was with the West Virginia Miners of the Prospect Collegiate League.
